There is only so much health care available, rationing will always take place. People advocating for strong federal influence in health care just want the rationing to occur there. Status quo would be collusion between federal government and insurance companies to decide the rationing. The "change" I want is to put the "rationing" closer to our control.
Can we be honest that the only choices which seem to be discussed are federal control through out right ownership or with corporatism through expanded regulation. Is there not a third option?
"The Census has a profound impact on Minnesota's communities," [Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.)] said in a statement. "It's important that every Minnesotan is counted, so we get our fair share of congressional seats and federal funding."
Not everyone worships at the shrine of federal funding; some feel accepting these funds is akin to selling our liberty. Whether or not we agree on the merits of this philosophy aside, can we agree that we allow government control over us to be passed from the local or state legislature, which I would argue is much easier to be part of, to Washington DC. Was it always this way? Has the US Census always had so many questions.

For those of you that look at the polls and are perplexed by the percentage of American's that have still not made up their minds, let me tell you my story.
I understand that liberty needs to rule of law. Like all competition there needs to be a referee. We elect people to represent us in writing these "rules". Our representatives must use Our Constitution as their rule book in writing laws. It defines the freedoms our government did not provide to us and can not take from us. We get the government we vote for. Not enough people respect and know the documents provided by our founders.
It goes far beyond party identity for me when selecting the people I want in Washington representing me; especially in this election. People are on edge, the next president will have a lot to deal with right out of the gate.
I have been on this "Fair Tax" kick as of late and I am having problems finding issues with it. What do you guys think?
This video is being thrown around. Who here can answer its claims?
Who is responsible for the housing crisis?
The housing bubble caused it
1. 1977 Community Reinvestment Act Created by Jimmy Carter
2. 1995 - Clinton Administration updated to create and push subprime loans.
3. 2003 - Bush tried to stop it
4. 2005 - McCain tried to stop it
Somebody help explain this. It will be in the next news cycle.
Sept. 18 (Bloomberg) - Traders erupted into cheers on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange as the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 617 points from its low of the day after Senator Charles Schumer proposed a new agency to pump capital into financial companies.
When the market is "juicy" the CEO's of these institutions pull hundreds of millions out when they go belly up they come out unscathed. People trying to save for retirement invest in these companies and watch their portfolios melt. Who is to blame? BOTH PARTIES
This is to all of you who think the best strategy is to practice the policy of personal destruction. I am not sure when or why the focus has been to cloud the biggest issue of this election. It is obvious to the people who are undecided.
You may not realize the importance of this election and how your focus on Palin is only serving to obfuscate the issues. The independent electorate will get pissed because it is plain as day to them.
In this election cycle both candidates have made it a priority to look at the Washington power structure over the last couple of weeks. McCain has made it a central issue in his campaign and Obama is calling him out for it and taking the issue on as his own.
With me, not being one to leave it up to the rhetoric of the major parties, I feel I have to try to understand what it is they are talking about. Welcome to the life of the independent voter. Here is my attempt to dissect the issue.
